About the role
iGates is a Tel Aviv software house that delivers complex software platforms across web, mobile, embedded, networking, integrations, and outsourcing. We are hiring a Business Development Manager to build a new client portfolio and create a repeatable revenue channel beyond existing accounts.
This is a hunter role for someone who knows how to open doors, qualify opportunities, and sell software development projects and outsourcing services to technology and business decision-makers.
What you will own
- Source new B2B clients in Israel that need software development, outsourcing, or staff augmentation services.
- Run outbound prospecting campaigns and book meetings with CTOs, CIOs, CEOs, product leaders, and technology managers.
- Qualify business and technical needs, identify budgets and timelines, and turn early conversations into real opportunities.
- Work with iGates leadership and technical teams to shape proposals, commercial terms, and project scopes.
- Negotiate and close new software project and outsourcing deals.
- Reconnect with past clients and revive relevant opportunities where iGates can provide value again.
- Build partnerships with product companies, startups, industrial companies, integrators, and consulting firms.
- Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline visibility, weekly reporting, and revenue forecasts.
What we are looking for
- Proven B2B business development or sales experience in software, technology services, or IT services.
- Mandatory experience selling software development projects and/or outsourcing services.
- Familiarity with web, mobile, enterprise systems, integrations, embedded, or networking-oriented software projects.
- Clear hunter mindset with a track record of opening new accounts, not only managing existing ones.
- Experience selling to technical and business decision-makers such as CTOs, CIOs, product managers, CEOs, and VPs.
- Ability to manage long, consultative sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Independent, proactive, persistent, organized, and target-driven.
- Advantage: previous work in a software house, technology consulting company, development services company, outsourcing company, or nearshore/offshore sales organization.
Who this role fits
The role fits a sales or business development professional who understands how software projects are sold, can speak naturally with technical teams, and can create trust before a full technical scoping process begins.
It is less suitable for candidates whose background is only B2C sales, pure SaaS product selling with no services exposure, passive account management, or sales roles that did not involve complex technical conversations.
Hiring process
- Initial screening call.
- Management interview.
- Short home assignment: prepare a 90-day business development plan for iGates, including target audiences, outreach channels, messaging, weekly actions, KPIs, and past-client reactivation.
- Sales simulation around a complex software opportunity with a technical buyer.
